About Us
At Salem, it is our desire to see the lives of people transformed into totally devoted followers of Christ. On this journey together, we seek to understand and walk the abundant life Christ promises. We invite you to participate fully in the life of following Christ with us at Salem. It doesn’t matter whether you are exploring who Christ is, are new in Christ or have been His follower for years. There is a place for you at Salem where we can all experience these pathways together.
Here at Salem we prioritize the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God's Word the Bible, spiritual growth, and loving and reaching our community with the good news of the gospel. Salem is a place for everyone. Whether you’re wanting to learn more about who God is, or looking for a church that has a firm grip on His Word, you are welcome here. You’ll see families, singles, all ages and stages. You’ll see bikers, bankers, tattoos and traditional folks. And when you come, you’ll see God shows up too. |

We hope you’ll join us for our Sunday worship service (10:00 am at our new building at 400 Salem Drive [off Farm Road])) to see for yourself what we’re all about. Through contemporary music and practical messages we present the truths of the Bible in a format that's easy to understand, even if you've never been to church.

Here are a few common questions and answers:
Why were you meeting in a school?
We were meeting at the Ashland High School until June 10, 2018, because we lost our church building to a fire in October 2015. Our building project is still in process and though we are quite functional there is work yet to be done. We were able to hold our first service in the new building (400 Salem Drive (off Farm Road) on June 10, 2018.

About the building project
What are you like?
We are a contemporary church with a comfortable feel. Our music is upbeat, our messages Bible-centered and relevant to real life, and our ministries to children and youth fun and Christ-centered.
What if I have kids?
During the message portion of our service, we offer children's programs for your kids age 2 through 5th grade. Your children are also welcome to stay in the service with you if you would like. We have nursery service available for your infant-2 year old as well.
Our Sunday School program begins at 8:45 on Sunday mornings.
What should I wear?
Casual dress is very appropriate at Salem. You will see everything from sport coats to golf shirts.
What should I bring?
If you have a Bible, bring it. If not, no problem. We have some extras that we would be happy to lend you.
What happens during the worship service?
Generally speaking, our service begins with contemporary worship, led by a band. Most people stand during this time, however, there is complete freedom to be seated if you prefer. The words of all of the songs are projected onto a screen, and you can either sing along or just sit back and enjoy the music. You'll probably hear songs you can relate to even if you haven't been to church in years.
During the announcement part of the service, we would like for you to fill out a connection card that allows us to get to know you a bit. You can request information, ask for prayer, let us know your thoughts, or just indicate your presence with us. You won’t be asked to stand or raise your hand (or anything else embarrassing) just because you’re new.
After our time of worship, Pastor Rod will encourage and challenge you with a practical message from the Bible. You’ll be able to easily follow along with a simple outline provided in your bulletin, so that what you learn on Sunday, you'll be able to use and apply during the week.
Then, like most churches we take an offering. If you’re a guest – relax! The service is on us and there’s no obligation at all on your part. Just pass the offering plate on down the row.
Finally - we close with another worship song that often times ties directly into the message so you can reflect on what you just heard.
How long does the service last?
The service lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
What if I still have questions?
Please feel free to contact us!
